Better Business Bureau

Does a good Better Business Bureau rating matter to you as a consumer? Do you check a company’s BBB rating before you purchase a product or service. Have you ever had a bad experience and later wish you had checked? I think any large company is eventually going to have a customer with a complaint. How a company handles that complaint shows what kind of company they really are. The BBB will work with the customer and the business to find a solution to the customer’s problem. If a company has a large number of complaints it may show that company uses deceptive practices on a regular basis. It could also show that the company’s employees not well trained in the type of business they are engaged in. The BBB rating is based on a percentage of the number of complaints compared to the company’s business volume size. If a large business has a few complaints and that business makes good effort to resolve the problem, that company will have an A+ rating. A company large or small that has a high ratio of complaints compared to their business size will have a B, C or even D rating. Any company that has an extremely high number of complaints or if that company does not make an effort to rectify a complaint will have an F rating.
