The one chemical you cannot afford to have too little of is chlorine. Without proper free Cholorine in your pool, the water will not be disinfected. Understand that there is a relationship between CYA (Stabilizer) and Chlorine. The higher your CYA, the more free choline you need to disinfect.

Bleach, Baking Soda and Borax are the only three chemicals you should regularly use in your pool.</description>
