All above ground pools need a cove. The cove is a vital structural element of your pool.  A cove is needed to keep the pool liner from coming out under the bottom of the pool wall. Pool cove can be hand built using sand and dirt or by using foam pool cove.

Foam Pool Cove is a 3 inch by 4 inch preformed cove made from chemically neutral Ethafoam®, and is safe for use with all pool liners. Lightweight and easy to handle, it comes in 48 inch long sections that bend easily without breaking and it is easy to install. Foam Pool Cove will not be washed out and will not hold moisture against metal components. This feature reduces corrosion and may add years of life to a pool and its components. It is made from a high density foam, it will not change shape or indent, making pool cleaning easier. Install prior to spreading sand.

Foam Pool Pad made from polyethylene foam. It creates a barrier between the sand and liner. Liner failure due to puncture is minimized and you get a smooth easy to clean bottom.

Foam Pool Pad is easy to install. Roll out a section of pad on top of the 1" - 2" of sand along one side of inside the pool after the wall is set-up and cut it. Next, seam enough sections together with duct tape to cover the dimension of the pool. (optional, flip pad over so tape is facing the ground) Trim off excess pad material and you are ready to install the liner.
