Inground Pool Kit Filter & Maintenance Options

Every inground swimming pool kit price includes 1.5 hp pump, 24" filter, 1 or 2 skimmers, 2 main drains and 3 water return to pool inlets. Installation of the bottom suction main drain is optional but must be properly installed for safety. 2 additional returns are optional for the walk-in steps. 1-1/2" or 2" PVC pipe is required for filter system to swimming pool connections. The plumbing kit is sold separate.

The 2" pump and filter ports is recommended for use for maximum water flow if the filter system will be more than 30' from the swimming pool or if your pool kit will have a spill-over spa, jetted steps or swimout lounger.

The sand filter is the best choice for most swimming pools. It is the most convenient and easiest to use. The pool kit does not include filter sand due to the increase in shipping weight. The 24" & 25" filter requires 300 lbs of swimming pool filter sand. Filter sand is available from your local hardware store or the 300 lb filter sand $108 can be purchased separate. Cartridge and Diatomaceous Earth (D.E.) filters are also available. Some areas do not allow D.E. powder to be dumped into the local drainage system.

Heavy duty mechanical time clock $95 designed for industrial, commercial and residential applications have the highest motor load ratings in the industry. They provide ON-OFF operations each day with minimum ON-OFF time of 1 hour. All models are equipped with ON" and "OFF" trippers and they are available in either plastic or metal indoor-outdoor enclosure.

	The Polaris 280 or Polaris 380 runs off its own booster pump which can be installed with a timer (included when purchased with pool kit) for truly automatic pool cleaning. The 280 or 380 requires a dedicated return line and works independently from the rest of your pool system. The booster pump enables the Polaris 280’s double jets or Polaris 380's triple jets to provide greater vacuum power and faster cleaning. 	The Polaris booster pump allows your cleaner to work independently from the rest of your pool system. PVC Pipe Plumbing Kit
The pool to the filter system can be plumbed with ridged sch 40 PVC (available from your local plumbing store) or Flexible sch 40 PVC. We have 3 plumbing kits available. The basic, the most used deluxe and the deluxe 2". Flex PVC can be bent around most corners without a coupling or fitting. Most plumbing leaks and system failures occur at joints in fittings. Since flex requires fewer fittings, it has less opportunity to leak and installs faster. Use only schedule 40 pipe for plumbing.

The Basic plumbing kit can be used with the basic pool kit. It has enough PVC pipe and fittings to plumb the skimmer, main drain and 3 returns if the filter system is within 20' of the deep-end of the pool.	The Deluxe plumbing kit should be used with the deluxe pool kit. It includes enough PVC pipe and fitting to plumb the skimmer, main drain, pool returns, step returns and auto-cleaner line. It will accommodate the deluxe pool kit with the pump being up to 20' away from the pool.	The Deluxe 2" plumbing kit combines 2" & 1-1/2" pipe. It will accommodate the deluxe 2" pool kit with the pump being up to 20' away from the pool. The 2" kit is recommended for use for maximum water flow, spill-over spa or jetted swimout loungers. Additional pipe, valves and may be needed based on swimout location. Spa PVC kit is available with spill-over spa.
