We have ours set to 54" in total height.
The total width of the step unit in 42".
The top riser is 8" tall with a top step area of 16" x 42".
The remaining risers are all 12" high with a step tread of 9" x 42".
The steps measures from the pool wall out, 46" and the handrail stops 32" above the step.

The inside stairs has a space for concrete blocks or other step weights (not included) to be placed to weigh them down to prevent lifting.

These steps require an external clearance of 58" deep x 43" wide. On the inside steps each step is about 10" deep and 12" tall except for the top step which is 8" tall.

Yes, the 1-7999-006 will work for a 52" above ground pool.

It does not need to be removed for winter if the pool is properly winterized. If you need to remove the steps at any time, it is recommended to have 2-3 people assisting as it is quite heavy in the water.

These steps are intended for 52" pools and can be adapted for 48" pools with the use of the 5700-200 spacer. They are not suitable for 54" pools.

Hi Sabrina, this entry system needs clearance of 58" from the pool wall and 43" width. It does come with a staircase cover that can be secured with a padlock to prevent entry when unattended.
